In traditional retail a product is marked up many times from production to consumer, leading to inflated prices. By working closely with each specialized 
manufacturing partner and distributing directly to you, we are able to offer a high-value product at a fair price. We call it the unconventional route to luxury.

THE UNCONVENTIONAL ROUTE TO LUXURY

Since the launch in 2012 WAHTS has been distributed online at wahts.com and at international luxury (department) stores,
such as Saks Fifth Avenue in Los Angeles, Le Bon Marche in Paris, Lodenfrey in Munich, Braun in Hamburg,
Helmut Eder in Kitzbühel, La Maison Degand in Brussels, Frans Boone in the Netherlands
and the YOOX Net-a-Porter Group in Italy.
 
While cooperating with those renowned high-end fashion retailers and at the same time building up a fast growing
online business, we were forced to ask the same inflated retail prices to our online customers
that actually wear our collections and that felt unfair.
 
We therefore took the unconventional route to luxury:
by eliminating the middlemen and selling now exclusively via our online store, we cut out the traditional
retail mark-up and pass those savings on to you, ensuring that we offer the best value for money.

    For our collections we found the best manufacturing ateliers in the North of Portugal between Porto and Braga.
    This region has long been recognised as the primary centre of European textile and shoe production with its
    wide range of dynamic and innovative factories. We have selected specialized ateliers with each their
    own expertise to produce the various essentials: from the jersey specialist to our shoe craftsman.
     
  • Contemporary Craftsmanship

     

    The design style is characterized by timeless simplicity combined with contemporary craftsmanship.
    Special attention is paid to the finishing and details of each piece crafted at our specialized ateliers.
     
     WAHTS innovates with comfortable, luxurious jersey qualities and blends it with fashionable and functional fabrics. Contemporary craftsmanship is applied to every style in a distinctive and fashionable way.

    WAHTS designs, manufactures and markets high-end men’s fashion. At every step in that process,
    we are driven to do not only what is required, but what is expected of a contemporary organization.

...AND HOW IT STARTED

 
Puzzled by the lack of sophisticated yet contemporary men's essentials
WAHTS was founded in 2012.
 
Having initially focused on sophisticated underwear, the range evolved into a full menswear collection
of luxury basics, loungewear and sportswear. An international team of fashion professionals: British designer, 
Dutch strategy consultant, Portuguese production managers and Dutch/German brand manager
 is held together by a shared passion for contemporary design, craftsmanship and quality.
 
 The team has a broad experience working for international fashion brands
such as Paul Smith, Moncler, AMI, Björn Borg, Tommy Hilfiger and Peak Performance.
 
With pleasure they serve their international style conscious clientele that value
the understated luxury and high standard service of WAHTS.
